Rita Zernickow

 A lifelong animal lover whose original aim had been to become a veterinarian.  She has been active in dog rescue for a quarter of a century.  Her favorite "flavor" is Dobermans, but her love extends to include all dogs, large and small.

Jane Zweig

Rita's day manager, is another of the good hearted souls who works in dog rescue.   More than a decade ago, Jane discovered her niche:  Her work with dogs in need of love, security and comfort has been aimed towards the small dog.  She comes to Starcrest with many years of experience working with a veterinarian and interacting with the often upset and bereaved owners of pets.
